Official report on the Central East-Borneo expedition, organized by command of the Ïndisch Comité voor Wetenschappen' (the Indian committee of Sciences), exploring & describing hitherto unknown territories of the Central part of Kayan River Basin, located 1° & 2° N.B. & 115°20'& 116° 40'O.L.(Greenwich); An area of some 12.000 sq. Km. has been explored, that includes offsprings of rivers Soengai Belajan & Soengai Telèn, 2 bid side-streams of Mahakam-river; the exploration was estimated on 8-10 months from February 1925 onward. The exploration included topography, geology, flora & fauna. Of special interest is the article by D.F.K.(sic!)(=F.D.K.) Bosch, pp. 391-497 exploring & excavating antiquities of the Kutai Region: Stone Sculptures and Statues, Bronzes; the finds have been illustrated and described by 3 text-ills. and ills. on 9 plates (pp. 408-417, with captions, incl. sizes in c.M. A very good copy of an extremely rare report.(top of spine skilfully restored, corners with light wear).
