Supplies in minute detail, after 17th and 18th century original printed sources and archivalia, the establishment of Pax Neerlandica, in dutch colonial Southeast Asia. This third and last volume of the second series, last to be published, deals with the so-called "Buitenbezittingen" or outer provinces as Sumatra, Borneo, Timor, the Moluccas, but also on the malay dependencies as Malacca, Kedah, India, Palembang, &c. Although this is an odd volume of the set of tog. 20 vols., published as the last volume of the 2nd. series (3 vols.) it is still of great importans and very difficult to locate. Very fine copy, completely unopened.
